lose your citizenship - it is the only country in the world with the attitude
that your place of birth has nothing to do with your citizenship rights. As a result Kym is
now, gratefully, a citizen of Ireland thanks to his parentage.
He lived in South Africa for 9 years where he studied Fine Art and Drama at
the University of Cape Town (1985 - 1989).
After graduating he was employed as an actor, choreographer, writer and
director by the Loft Theatre Co. (1990 - 1991). He received his MA in DAnce Studies
(Choreography, Choreolgical Studies and Visual Design)
from the Laban Centre, London in 1996. He also studied Feng Shui with the Shen
Dao Institute and since qualifying in 1996 he has developed a large
client base in the UK & Ireland and also has clients in the USA (New
York, Washington D.C., L.A., San Francisco, Houston & Austin) and
South Africa.
He manages to negotiate the rich tapestry of humanity and all its wondrous belief systems
thanks to having had plenty of practice dealing with his family members: his father is a lapsed Catholic,
his mother was a Methodist for a short
while as a child but after trouble with the church his grandmother left
the church and became a Spiritualist. His eldest sister has no particular
faith that he is aware of, his other sister and her family are Jewish and his
brother is a born-again Christian. Kym tends to favour a mix and match
approach and is happy for people to believe in whatever makes them happy -
so long as it doesn't lead them to hurt other people in the name of their
beliefs.
